Whomi Launches University Partnership Program

Whomi, the self-guided platform for career development, today announced the launch of the Whomi University Partnership (Whomi UP) program designed to help universities support the career development of their students and alumni at scale.

“Universities already do a great job of launching student careers. But we believe they have the power to play an even greater role in helping graduates navigate their careers throughout their lifetimes,” said John Gordon, Founder and CEO of Whomi. “Since universities only want their alumni to be happy and successful, they can truly focus on helping their alumni achieve their unique goals without any bias.“

Universities are often judged by job placement at graduation. For example, US News and World Reports have recently updated their MBA rankings to make employment rate and mean salary and bonus at graduation drive 50% of their rankings.

However, universities are increasingly focused on how they can provide value over the lifetime of a graduate’s career. Whomi can be leveraged by public and private universities and colleges, both big and small. It is already being leveraged by a number of leading institutions.

"We want to help our alumni grow the good in business,” said Ryan Retartha, Director or Alumni Relations at the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. ‘Whomi enables us to deliver on our commitment to lifetime career support for every graduate at scale."

“Whomi efficiently packages the tools and lessons we teach in the Career Management Center into a self-service platform that enables us to scale our reach," said Steven Burton, Ph.D., Executive Director of the Career Management Center at the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University.

"With a strong liberal arts education, our alumni can do anything!” said Maura Sweeney, Director of Alumni Career and Professional Development at the College of the Holy Cross. “Whomi enables them to see their possibilities and make choices intentionally."

"Quantic students know that technology & innovation drive their future,” said Lisa Thomson, Director of Career Services at Quantic School of Business and Technology. “Whomi brings that innovation to Career Services to help our students succeed."

The Whomi University Partnership Program can be leveraged by university alumni relations, career services, and development offices to drive engagement, affinity, and career growth. The Program offers a free tier where universities can educate students and graduates how to use the Whomi self-guided career development platform as well as a paid tier that provides university-specific branding, messaging, and alumni directory integration.
